They wed on July 5th 1942 at the Pinckneyville Mount. Zion Church. BF and Rubylee wrote each other everyday. Every one of his letters ended with I love you more than anything else in this world. " Your One". Bernard F. Reynolds was a Sargent in the European Theater during WW2 as a truck driver. He carried in his breast pocket during his time in Europe a picture of his wife Rubylee. Bernard Franklin Reynolds was sadly Killed in action in France on July 31st 1944. 2 days after his 27th birthday. According to a letter from his Chaplain that was with him when it happen BF didn't suffer. The men was sleeping was sleeping in there foxhole when a German bomb exploded. BF and his battle buddy were killed instantly and painlessly. BF Reynolds is buried in France. Posthumously he was awarded the purple heart.After Rubylee Beck Reynolds Graskewicz passed away her son Jon Graskewicz donated her hope chest filled full of BF Reynolds letters to her and some of their belongings to the Jail Museum.
