Son of Joshua M Reynolds and Catharine Alderman, Civil War Veteran; Enlisted in Company G, 54th Infantry Regiment Virginia on 03 March 1863.

Asa married Susanah Elizabeth Spence on July 10, 1865. They had six children. Susannah was born in 1845 in VA and died on July 1877 in Carroll County, VA. She pass away giving children birth of her daughter Alsaberry Reynolds.

2. Narcissa Phebe Reynolds- 1869-1937 She married Sedgewick Mcpherson Spence on Feb 20, 1890 in Carroll County, VA . They had 7 children.
3. Martha Catherine Reynolds 1871-1958 - married William Brack Coleman on Nov 14, 1893 in Carroll Co. , VA They had 9 Children.
4. Josephine Reynolds 1873-1925 Married Marion Sylvester Martin on Feb 5, 1890 They had 7 children
5. Virginia Susan Reynolds 1875-1966 She married Giles Watson Coleman on Nov 21, 1893. They had 11 children.
