He began working for the Elka Cosmetic Company when decided to go into business for himself. He started the Revlon Cosmetics Company which specialized in a line of nail polishes, lipsticks, marketed through beauty salons and later at department stores. He soon offered a line of quality perfumes and fragrances, with great success being marketed world wide. In addition his company sponsored the popular TV game shows, "The $64,000 Question" and "The $64,000 Challenge". Revson served as president of Revlon (1932-62) and as chairman until his death in 1975. He died at age 68 in New Rochelle, New York.
