Raymond Rentfro, 76, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at his home in Russellville.

He was born June 10, 1933, at Dover, Arkansas to Marion and Estel Benefiel Rentfro. He graduated from Dover High School, and attended Arkansas Tech University. He retired from UACCM (formerly Petit Jean VoTech) after teaching automotive technology for 30 years and was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He loved Bluegrass music; playing the guitar and listening to his wife play the piano. Raymond never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with family, friends and especially enjoyed all of his grandchildren. Raymond served his country as a member of the Army during the Korean War. He attended All Saints Episcopal Church, in Russellville, and was a member of the Blue Star Lodge in Dardanelle. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jeanne Skipper Rentfro; a son, Scott Rentfro of Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Kevin Cleghorn of Bryant; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eulas and Nancy Rentfro of Dover, and Cletus and Dottie Rentfro of Russellville;a step daughter, Nell Baker and her husband, Tony, of Denton, Texas; a stepson, Josh Dalzell and his wife, Sarah, of Karlsrhue, Germany; nine grandchildren, Sawyer Rentfro of Russellville, Gabriel Cleghorn of Bryant, Avery,Josie, Chloe, and Quincy Baker of Denton, Texas, Aiden, Briana, and Caitlin Dalzell of Germany; a beloved aunt and uncle, Anemone and Graham Morrison of Redfield, Arkansas; and the mother of his children, Carol Rentfro, of Russellville.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Russellville with Elder Harold Stumbaugh and Father Jos Tharakan officiating. Burial with Masonic honors will be in Pollard Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
