MATTOON -- Florence Isabell Durre, 68, of Mattoon died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 18, 1997) at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Randall Schlak officiating, assisted by the Rev. Grant Bode. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Schilling Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Effingham County, the daughter of Arthur and Elsie Ohnesorge Rentfro. She married Gale W. Durre in 1947; he survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Dan Durre of Houston, Texas, Richard Durre of Mattoon and John Durre of Peachtree City, Ga.; two sisters, Freda Vosburgh of Springfield and Nadine Cisna of Mattoon; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Durre was co-owner and operator of Mattoon Radio and T.V. Supply Co. She was formerly employed at the Effingham Farm Bureau for 10 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Mattoon Golf and Country Club, and Ladies' Home Extension, and was a volunteer for the PTA.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Mattoon.

MATTOON -- The funeral for Florence I. Durre was Friday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Randall Schlak officiating, assisted by the Rev. Grant Bode. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Schilling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The organist, Marilyn Patterson, played "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" and "Jesus Christ is Risen Today, Alleluia!"
The pallbearers were Christopher Durre; Gary and Terry Schultz; Ronald Winnings; and Todd and Mike Cisna.
