Age 83, formerly of Millcreek Township, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Shuss Rennie.

She was a 1936 graduate of Heilwood High School and took secretarial classes at McDowell Adult Education. She had worked for 15 years at Eriez Magnetics in the shipping department and retired from there in 1988. She was elected to Inspector of Elections for the 17th District in Millcreek Township, a position she held for many years. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and volunteered there. She was a member of St. Julia and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in La. and several clubs. She was active in many political campaigns.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William John Harries (d May 1981 age 64); and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Vaughan and her husband, Paul, of Tustin, Calif.; one son, David Harries and his wife, Terri, of Luling, La.; a sister, Mildred Woods of Spartansburg; two brothers, Raymond Rennie and his wife, Edna, of Erie, and Ralph Rennie and his wife, Jean, of Rhode Island; two sisters-in-law, Louise and Helen Rennie; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
