Mrs. Powers was born December 18, 1944 in San Diego, California, daughter of Samuel Renaldo and Mary Ripberger Renaldo Procell.
She was retired from United States Department of Agriculture and was a member of the Greater Cumberland Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. Mrs. Powers also served as a life coach and facilitator for Grace for the Wounded. Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Renaldo.
She is survived by her husband, William Powers of Hopkinsville, KY, her mother, Mary Helen Renaldo Procell of Greenville, MS, two daughters, Rena (Hamp) Boykin and Denise (Kevin) White, all of Collierville, TN, two stepsons, Tate (Kristi) Powers of Houston, TX and Doug (Brittney) of Orlando, FL, one stepdaughter, Jana (John) Rozmarynowski of Hopkinsville, KY, two sisters, Rose Marie Reed of Greenville, MS and Mary Van Wagner of Lake James, IN, eight grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor and Chandler Boykin, Chase and Carter White and Jaydon, Jarred and McKayla Hedlund.
Visitation with the Powers family will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 at the Greater Cumberland Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. Funeral service to be conducted at 11:00 at the Greater Cumberland Baptist Church with Bro. Kenneth Shaver and Dr. Terry Smith officiating with interment to follow at the Western Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
