Wasilla resident Josef Reimann, 70, died Jan. 17 at Valley Hospital.
Mr. Reimann was born on Feb. 16, 1924, in Vienna, Austria. He was a machinist by trade and moved to Alaska in February 1962. His family said, "Joe loved to spend time hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. His best times were enjoying the great outdoors that Alaska had to offer. He was much loved by his family and will be truly missed." Mr. Reimann's family will pay tribute in celebration of his life by honoring his request to scatter his cremated remains at his favorite hunting area.
Mr. Reimann is survived by his beloved wife, Josefine5 of Wasilla; sons, Anton and Frank, both of Wasilla; daughter, Martha Johnson of Anchorage; sister, Caroline Hasenohel of Vienna; grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Johann Jr., Josefine, Christopher, Ruby, Bradley and Michael Reimann and Jennifer Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Reimann and Daniel Poteet. Arrangements were handled by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary and Crematory.
Cremated, Ashes scattered.
