MRS. A. L. BROWN SR., 72, the former Ruth Reid, died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday at Methodist Evangelical Hospital. She lived at 9209 Fern Creek Road, Fern Creek. She was a charter member of Fern Creek Methodist Church and a member of the Women's Society of the Christian Service there. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. T. C. Copeland Jr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Buschmeyer; two sons, Joseph R. Brown and A. L. Brown Jr.; her mother, Mrs. Joseph B. Reid; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The body is at McAfee Funeral Home, 3928 Bardstown Road. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Fern Creek Methodist Church.
