Ruth M. Allen, 100, of Maryville, Mo., formerly of the Skidmore, Mo., area, passed from this life on Monday, March 23, 2015, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville.
Ruth was born on February 13, 1915, near Skidmore, to James and Merle (Smith) Reese.
She was a high school graduate and had cooked at the Quitman Elementary School, and later was a CMT at Parkdale Manor and Nodaway Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Skidmore Christian Church.
On December 12, 1936, Ruth was united in marriage to Roy Dale Allen. He passed away in 1976.
She was also preceded by two daughters, Emily Margaret Allen, and Dottie Trimble, in 2013; two grandsons, Mark Trimble and Nicholas Allen; granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Stinnett; three sisters, Lydia Yates, Charlotte Twaddle and Fern Metcalfe; son-in-law, Jr. Piveral; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Allen.
Her survivors include her children, Patty Day, Shirley Hoyt, Beth Piveral, James (Judy) Allen, Jerry (Judy) Allen, Jack Allen, Rodney (Reba) Allen; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryvlle. The burial will follow at the Hillrest Cemetery, Skidmore, Mo.
The minister will be Rev. Al Hamon.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Skidmore Christian Church, Skidmore.
