"Death of Mrs. W. B. Reese
Following an illness which began the Friday before Easter, Mrs. Rachel Reese passed away at her home 6 3/4 miles northeast of Skidmore Sunday night, June 9, shortly before 10 o'clock, aged 50 years 3 months 28 days.

Mrs. Reese's maiden name was Rachel Bolick, and she was born in Des Moines county, Iowa, March 11, 1868. On February 5, 1893 she was united in marriage to W. B. Reese and to this union six children were born, three of them dying in infancy.

She was of a home loving nature and the splendid vegetable and flower gardens that grew under her care attested to her industry.

Besides the husband, two daughters, Margaret and Willie, and one son, Ivan, are left to mourn her loss. Three brothers and five sisters also survive Mrs. Reese. Mrs. C. E. Reese is a sister of the deceased.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church, South, in Skidmore, Tuesday morning, conducted by the Rev. M. Dewitt. The body was laid to rest in the Skidmore Masonic cemetery."
