Doris J. "Pud" Reese, 83, passed away August 3, 2013 at the Winterset Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.Doris was born August 20, 1929 in Des Moines, the daughter of James Guy and Betty Reese. She graduated from East High School. She worked for over 35 years for Continental Western Insurance Company. She also worked part time at the SE 14th Drive-In Theater in the 60's and 70's. Doris loved to quilt and always had a quilt going. She enjoyed traveling worldwide, cooking and helping people in need.Doris is survived by sisters, Elaine Reese of Des Moines, Phyllis Frisk of Florida and Lois Charter of Texas; brother, Guy "Red" Reese of Pleasant Hill; 25 nieces and nephews; 37 great nieces and nephews and 12 great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jim, Bill and John and sister, Maryellen Johnson all of the Des Moines area.Memorials may be directed to Des Moines East High Alumni Association Class of 47', P.O.
