Betty Marie Workman, our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on February 13, 2009 surrounded by family and dear friends.

Betty was born on March 9, 1923 to Ralph and Melva Rees in Coalville, Utah.

Betty was one of eight children. Her education included her graduation from North Summit, a North Summit Post Graduate Course, and LDS Business College. Betty's first husband was Allen Almblade. Betty met her eternal companion, Alden R. Workman in 1955 and married him on July 29, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 26, 1957.

Betty's work history as a book keeper and accountant included - Zellerbach Paper, Hill Air Force Base, Wilkens Distribution Company, Rawson & Lund, IRS and her brother Kelly's battery business. She was appreciated for her work ethics.

Betty cherished time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, brothers and sisters, great-grandchildren and Max the dog. She loved going for drives, taking trips, going to dinner, and hated missing any family reunions. She will be known for her crocheting, where she created masterpiece afghans and beautiful dolls and dresses.

Betty is survived by 2 sons, 2 daughters, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers (linked below) and 7 grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held in Betty's honor at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in the Cindy Lane Ward Chapel, 4881 West Cindy Lane, South Jordan, Utah, where family and friends may call from 10:00-11:15 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, UT.
