Delores Gertrude Kauffman Reel, 64, of the 500 block of Woodglen Drive, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at her residence.
Mrs. Reel was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Harry and Estelle Reel Kauffman. She was the widow of George Albert "Buddy" Reel. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Reel had worked as a proofreader for the Curtis Publishing Company in Philadelphia and during this time she had the opportunity of working with Norman Rockwell. Later she and her husband operated and owned the Great Bridge Block and Lumber Company.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Lee Reel of Virginia Beach and her son, George Albert Reel III of Chesapeake; two sisters, Harriett Estelle Hollywood and Viola Geraldine Sinn, both of Deptford, N.J.; two brothers, Joseph Earl Kauffman of Woodbury, N.J., and Leslie Edward Kauffman of Glassboro, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by Pastor Jimmy Bennett. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
