Kathryn Ann Astgen, 52, of 3352 Kimberly Drive, died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at home. Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday. Private family burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Kathy was born on Sept. 10, 1951, in Dubuque, daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Reed. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1969 and worked at Norton News Agency for 34 years. Left to cherish her memories are Cal Kohlenberg, of Dubuque; two sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Astgen and Joshua (Katie) Astgen, both of Dubuque; a granddaughter, Emalee Astgen; and two special dogs, Rhaja and Missey. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Terry and Allen. Memorials may be given to the Dubuque Humane Society. Thank-you to Hospice of Dubuque for all the care and kindness they gave to Kathy.
