Betty Jane Reed, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 11, 2014. She was born December 4, 1923 in Coatesville, Indiana to the late Charles Cecil and Lavina Gwyneth Hendricks.

Betty is survived by her brothers, Charles R. Hendricks and Kenneth E. McMullen; daughters, Carol (Cliff) Kehrt, Diana (Richard) Mundy and Shari (Walter) Stenborg; son, Larry (Debbie) Reed; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Wilma Jean Bates and Donald Faye Hendricks.

A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Betty enjoyed spending her life as a florist and a homemaker. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, cooking and baking for her family. Over the past few years she derived much enjoyment from social networking, using it as a means to stay in contact with her family and friends that were very dear to her heart. She was loved by her family and friends and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
