Marcia E. Damore, 75, of Church Street, Orwigsburg, died Thursday evening while in the company of family members at her daughter's home in Birdsboro.
Born in Orwigsburg, Oct. 19, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Evelyn A. Douglas Reed. She was the widow of Louis D. Damore Jr.
She was a nurse at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville, for more than 40 years. She retired in 2001.An Orwigsburg High School graduate, Class of 1954, she then graduated from Reading Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1956. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald T. Traube.
She is survived by two sons, Michael D., husband of Tammy Damore, Pottsville, and Louis D. Damore III, New Ringgold; two daughters, Lisa Damore, Birdsboro, and Lislie D., widow of Donald, Orwigsburg; a grandson, Philip J. Traube and his fiancee, Dr. Meredith Lacey, Allentown; three granddaughters, Kristin, wife of Jeremy Schmucker, Fort Worth, Texas, Courtney Damore, Fort Worth, and Kendra Damore, Pottsville; and a great-granddaughter, Stella Grace Schmucker, Fort Worth.
