No matter who I asked about in the family, dear June always had a interesting story to tell about their life. She knew so many of the older people in the family, she knew Everett, his wife Jean was a great friend to June, she knew Ken Redifer and told stories about him. She is one of the most fascinating people I have come across in my family research.
This writer has a little insight to a very remarkable lady, she is honest, outspoken and strong willed, she has had a very exciting and wonderful life, on which I plan to write more.
June spent time with Errol Flynn, her husband Kenneth would go sailing with him, all in all I think June was more impressed with cousin Ira Kenneth Redifer, he was a rebel and so is June, she stated that Kenneth was her favorite. She has fond memories of her parents and her childhood, she spoke of a very loving and close family and had many pictures to show me besides the ever lasting stories.
June was 13 or 14 years old when Ira Kenneth Redifer came to visit the family in The Dalles, he also came to visit her in the 1930's, she said he sang with Tiny and his Wranglers.
I have been to visit June many times and each time she is doing better, now walking with her walker and looking very young and beautiful, Christmas of 2001.
June I miss our talks, it was such fun to spend time with you.
