Son of the late Tom Redding and Lucy Livingston Edgar grew up on Redding Road near Pavo in rural Thomas County, GA. He was a tobacco and peanut farmer by trade. Edgar and his first wife Essie Mae Key had a daughter and a son. Essie Mae died in child birth in 1941. Edgar and second wife Gladys Bozeman had one son. Edgar and Gladys owned a farm on Simmons Road near Pavo. Tragically Edgar was killed when his tractor over turned in a ditch. He was 58. Survived by his wife Gladys, a daughter; Betty Newman, 2 sons; Tommy Redding of Camilla, GA and Eddie Redding of Pavo. Five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many other family members also survive.
