Ila Faye Allen, 72, of Hamilton, died in the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, Dec. 27, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 29, in the Riley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Miles Miears officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born in Hamilton on Aug. 10, 1914, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Ethel [Meekness] Ledbetter Redden. She lived in the Hamilton area all her life. On June 21, 1936, [Hamilton County Marriage Record Bk. 10, p. 57.] she married Wilton Homer Allen in Pottsville. He survives her. She was a Baptist.

Other survivors include a daughter, Shirley Denney of Irving; a brother, Cecil Redden of Brownwood; and one grandchild. A brother, Herschel Redden, preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were John Warren, A.G. Register, Rabbit Fuqua, Bobby Lee Cathy, Alton Williams and Bobby Cathy.
