Clifford A. Cliffie Redd Jr. of Avon died Oct. 16, 2011, at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of Joann C. (Sheline); loving father of Christina Tina Fontaine and her husband Don of Halifax, Daniel Redd and his late wife Annemarie of Brockton, Kathleen Noonan and her husband Don of Easton, Gregory Redd and his wife Margaret of Bridgewater. Also survived by seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Cliff was born in Logan, Ohio, and lived in Avon for over 49 years. He was a decorated World War II U.S. Air-Force veteran receiving the Bronze Star, Oak Cluster and Good Conduct Medal. After his service in the military, Cliff worked as a baker for Continential Bakery in Natick for 38 years. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St., Randolph, until 9:15 a.m. Thursday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Avon. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association , 330 Congress St., No. 501, Boston, MA 02210.
