Elsie E. Tyler (Recor) Collins was a long time resident of Kirkland and Issaquah, Washington. She was 92. She passed away peacefully April 23, 2006 at Providence Point Marionwood in Issaquah.
Elsie was born May 17, 1913, in Wenatchee, Washington to Edith and George Tyler. She graduated from Kirkland�s High School in 1931. She worked 8 years at Lake Washington Telephone Company at the corner of Central Way and Market Street in Kirkland. She married Harold A. Recor in 1939. They were owners of Kirkland Auto Parts on Market Street from 1940 to 1949.
Elsie worked at Boeing in Seattle in the 1950�s, after her husband�s death. In 1955 Elsie married Wayne A. Collins who owned a barber shop with his brother Lawrence Collins in Kirkland. After her second husbands passing in 1991, she moved to Providence Point in Issaquah in 1993 where she lived for 13 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Masset (Urban) of Sammamish, Washington and Linda Zimmerman of Livingston, Montana; a stepdaughter Beverly (Dick) DeCamp of Salem, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her daughter J. Darlene Nixon of Bothell, Washington. Elsie had 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Elsie loved her family, friends and neighbors. She had a passion for cooking, flower gardening, music, crafts, painting and traveling. She was the sweetest person who enriched all our lives greatly.
