Wilma L. Graham
(September 24, 1932 - July 9, 2010)

Wilma Lois Graham was welcomed into the Gates of Heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early hours of Friday, July 9, 2010, at Northern Michigan Hospital. A strong Christian woman, she was born on September 24, 1932, in Petoskey, Michigan, to James S. Reasoner and Gertrude (Wright) Reasoner. She attended country schools in Springvale Township through eighth grade before transferring to Petoskey High School where she graduated in 1951. She attended college at Elkhart Business University, in Elkhart, Indiana, for two years and pursued other higher education interests at NCMC in Petoskey. In 1960, she married Floyd L. Graham at the Epsilon United Brethren Church, and together they had two sons, Jess E. Graham and George L. Graham (Kristi), both of Petoskey. She worked at Little Traverse Hospital and at numerous hospitals in the Flint region where her talent and knowledge as a lab technician were greatly appreciated. A small, gentle woman with a large smile and a great sense of humor, Wilma easily made friends wherever she went, from the grocery store to the Friendship Center to her church. The love she felt for her Lord and Savior and for other people made her life a beacon of light and hope for the people she came in contact with. No matter the depths of her trials and tribulations, she always had her faith and the love of her family and friends to pull her through. Wilma was an active member of the Epsilon United Methodist Church for most of her life. She served the church through various positions including most recently as head of missions. Surviving Wilma are her two sons, three grandchildren Kiley, Isaac, and Trevor Graham, her sister Cynthia (John) McKenney of Petoskey, five nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, her former mother-in-law Eleanor Graham of Petoskey, several cousins, countless friends, and her much beloved cat Garfield. Visitation will be today, Monday, July 12, from 6-8 pm, and a funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 13, at 10:30 am, both at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey, Michigan. The Rev. LeRoy Sutfin, family friend, will officiate and burial will be in Curtis Cemetery, Springvale Township.
