| Birth: | Jul. 23, 1883 Nashville Davidson County Tennessee, USA | | Death: | May 9, 1950 Fresno County California, USA | Edna Lena Reagan was born in Nashville, Tenn., July 21, 1883. She was united in marriage to Porter Norris on March 3, 1901, near Nashville. To this union were born seven childrenthree sons (Alva of Memphis, Tenn.; Hubert of Alamosa, Colo.; and Paul of Chowchilla, Calif.) and four daughters (Mrs. Hazel Cash and Mrs. Thelma Welch of Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Mae Green of Texarkana, Texas; and Mrs. Mono Bell Neighbors of Chowchilla, Calif.). Besides these seven children and her husband, she leaves ten grandchildren and two brothers (Pruitt and Willie Reagan of Nashville, Tenn.). Sister Norris obeyed the gospel early in life and lived a faithful, devoted Christian until heaven called her home. She was an active member of the church in Chowchilla, Calif., where Brother Norris has been preaching for the past six years, until a few days before her death, which occurred May 9, 1950. Sister Norris was a great help to her husband in his work, which has been in several states, but mostly in Tennessee and California. Her wonderful life is reflected in her children, who are all faithful members of the church. Her whole life was devoted to her family and the church. It has been my pleasure to know Sister Norris about twenty-five years, and I do not think I ever knew a more faithful and devoted Christian. Paul J. Boyer assisted the writer in speaking words of comfort to the bereaved. --T. M. Craig. Gospel Advocate, June 8, 1950, page 375.
