Catherine "Katie" (Rea) Lamperski, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away December 11, 2013. She was born October 24, 1924 in Buffalo, New York to Joseph and Pauline (Mormino) Rea. She helped her family as a young girl working at her family's produce stand at the City Market. Katie worked at MCL and catered with Indy Anna's. She lived and loved her Catholic faith and lived a life of prayer. Katie was such a loving wife and mother. She was active in the church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister for shut-ins. Katie was married at Holy Rosary Church and volunteered at the Italian Street Festival for many years. She brightened the life of family and friends with her smile and kind nature. Katie was well known amongst loved ones for her giving nature, especially the gifts of her homemade pies. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward A. Lamperski; daughter, Pauline Lamperski; brothers, Tony Rea, Leo Rea, and Jim Rea. Survivors include her children, Nellie (Dan) Thompson, Walter (Patty) Lamperski, Joseph (Kim) Lamperski, Mary Lamperski, Madonna (Larry) Wilson, and Catherine (Pat) Dearing; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
