She was born June 10, 1919 to Blanche Plessala Gaspard and Clovis Gaspard in Berwick, Louisiana. Ardise lived in Port Arthur for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, her daughters, JoAnn Powell and Barbara Jean "B B" Powell, her sons, Jo Ed Powell and Melvin Wayne "Lucky" Powell and her husband, Billy Earl Raymer.
She is survived by her adopted daughter/granddaughter, Cynthia Mendoza of Port Arthur, Texas, 43 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren that consist of five generations along with nieces and nephews.
