Born, July 9, 1936 in Rush Co., Indiana, she was the daughter of Edgar and Daisy M. (Bills) Ray.
She was a 35 year employee of Delta Faucet Co. in Greensburg and she was a member of the Greensburg Wesleyan Church in Greensburg.
She was married to Richard E. Byrd on December 14, 1956 and he survives.
She is also survived by her mother, Daisy M. Ray, Greensburg; one son, Tim (Carlene) Byrd, Greensburg; one daughter, Terri Lynn (Dan) Dinsmore, Greensburg; 2 step children, Volley R. Byrd, Connersville, John B. Byrd, Greensburg; 7 grandchildren, Shannan (David) Fields, Columbus, Brandi (Jeremy) Soliday, Columbus, Jennifer (Chad) Capps, Columbus, Trent Green, Cincinnati, Oh, Blake Byrd, Dallas, Tx., Josh Byrd, Greensburg, Chris Byrd, Greensburg; 8 great grandchildren and lots of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. William Thompson III and Rev. L.J. Poe officiating.
Internment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
Memorials may be made to the Decatur County Hospice.
