Mrs. Nova Ray Bass, age 83, of McDonough, GA passed away June 16, 2015. Mrs. Bass was born in Pilot Point, TX the daughter of the late Mirtie Koonce Ray and Doyle Wendell Ray. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Ray; a stepson, Larry Bass Sr.
Mrs. Bass enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing trivia, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, gardening, reading, sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
Survivors are her sister-in-law, Ruby Ray of Pilot Point, TX; nephew, Glen Ray (Cynthia) of Pilot Point; niece, Lee Ann Ray of Pilot Point; 2 great nieces, Emily and Allison Ray of Pilot Point; step children, Rosemary and Larry Speranza of Hampton, Tommy Bass of Stockbridge, Cheryl & Glen Roberts of Senoia, Bertie & Bill Gwen of Lilburn and Danny and Pam Bass of Locust Grove.
Funeral service for Mrs. Bass will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
