Howard V. Rawley, 84, of Winlock, died Feb. 16, 2002, at Providence Centralia Hospital.
He was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Brewster, Wash., and had lived in Winlock since 1973, coming from Bellingham.
Mr. Rawley belonged to the Masonic Lodge No. 159 and the Scottish Rite, both of Ketchikan, Alaska. He was a commercial fisherman in Alaska and set many records for catching fish. He is remembered by many people for his fishing abilities. He also could create anything from wood and fix whatever was needed.
His wife, Ila Rawley, died June 23, 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Sayers of Winlock; three sons, Mark Rawley of Sitka, Alaska, Mike Rawley of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mickey Rawley of Lummi Island, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
At his request, no service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock.
