ELYSBURG --- Evelyn Raup, 71, of 10 Memorial Drive, died Thursday morning, May 8, 1997, at her home.

She was born July 17, 1925, in Mansfield Notts, England, a daughter of the late William and Beatrice Briggs. She married Norman E. Raup, who died in 1991.

Mrs. Raup served in the British Army during World War II.

She was an auctioneer at various sales in the area and operated a stand at Masser's Flea Market, Paxinos.

Mrs. Raup attended Elysburg United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Raup of Elysburg and Wendy Raup of Paxinos; two grandchildren, Robert and Terrill Koons; five brothers, William, Terrance, Charles, Barry and Malcolm; and three sisters, Pauline, Doreen and Beatrice, all of England.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Elysburg United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Scott Widmer. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Elysburg.

Visitors may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury.
