Anna Louise Hedwig Glaubitz was the second of eight children born to Louis and Alvina Glaubitz.
She married Henry J. Rathke in Dec. 11, 1880. They had three surviving children: Louis H., Selma, and Herbert. They had no grandchildren.
Henry and Anna Rathke moved to Wittenberg, WI during the 1880s where Henry went into partnership with Anna's father, Louis Glaubitz, and her brother, Robert B. Glaubitz in the lumber business. Originally, the business was called Glaubitz and Co.
The home Henry and Anna had built for their family in 1889 is still in Wittenberg and beautifully maintained. It is listed on an historic walking tour provided by the Wittenberg Historical Society.
