Mrs Annie [Rasmussen] Jessen Anderson, a pioneer woman of this city, the mother of Mrs A G [Nelsena Alane] Young, died at the home of the latter last Friday from an attack of pneumonia.
She was the last surviving member of the hand cart company, coming to Utah many years ago. She had been a resident of Richfield since the time when it was a straggling village and was a woman of note and character. She was in her 77th year.
Three sons and two daughters survive her they being Mrs Chris [Annie Macelia] Poulson, Mrs A G [Nelsena] Young, Andrew Jessen, Emil Anderson of Hooper, Weber county and Peter Anderson of Milford.
The funeral was held at the First ward chapel on Monday, being attended by many sympathizing relatives and friends. There were a number of speakers and the services were in charge of Wm. Ogden. Appropriate music selections were sung by the ward choir and the floral tributes were many and beautiful.
