Funeral services for Lillie E. Fisher age 93 of West Point, NE will be on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. Interment will be in the St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from noon to 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE and will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Lillie passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her home.
Lillie was born December 23, 1918 on a farm east of West Point in Cuming County to Henry and Isabella (Fenske) Rasmus.
She attended West Point Public schools graduating in May of 1937. Lillie married Francis Fisher on April 18, 1941, at the Assumption Church in Lynch, NE. The couple lived on a farm east of West Point until 1966 when they moved into town. She worked for West Point Lumber and the West Point Police Department as a Meter Maid.
Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, and a brother.
Survivors include daughters- Mary and husband Jack King of Fremont, NE, and Bonnie and husband Randy Schlautman of West Point, NE; son-Michael and wife Deb Fisher of West Point, NE; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials have been established to the West Point Fire and Rescue Department.
