Mrs. Mavis Frances Rasbury Defreese, 72, died Monday at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a long illness.
Services will be held at 2 P.M. today at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Simsboro Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
A retired beautician, DeFreese was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Burgessville Homemakers Club, and the United Methodist Women's Club. She was also a Pink Lady at Lincoln General Hospital.
Survivors include her widower, Leroy Defreese of Ruston, one son, Johnny L. DeFreese of Franklin; one sister, Clarice R. Andrews of Pineville; two brothers, Haskell Rasbury of Ruston and Noel Rasbury of Carthage; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Earl Nugent, Harry D. Napper, Kenneth Andrews, Dr. Hal Barker, O. O. Osborne and C. E. Keys.
Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church building fund or the American Cancer Society.
