Betty lived in Lost Creek, WV until shortly after graduating from Lost Creek High School. She met her first husband, Jack Starr, while he was rough-necking on a drilling rig in Harrison County. After marrying, they moved to west Texas while Jack advanced up the ladder to tool-pusher. Not long afterwards, they moved to Tulsa, OK where Jack was made Vice President of Falcon Seaboard Drilling Co. They both were involved in many charitable organizations and community programs. In 1954, they adopted a daughter, Sandra Kay, and in 1961, they adopted a son, Randoph Mayes. After many years of marriage, they parted ways. Betty moved back to Lost Creek to take care of her mother, Mildred Randolph. While there, she met and married Dick Fultineer. They enjoyed many years of marriage. Both Betty and Dick were active in local community programs. Betty was a member of the Lost Creek Extension Homemakers, Lost Creek Women's Club, Senior Citizens of Lost Creek, Lost Creek United Methodist Church and was the President of the Lost Creek Fireman's Auxiliary in which she was a member for 25 years. She and Dick ran the local Auxiliary Bingo each week. In honor of Betty, the Lost Creek Community Building was named after her. In 2001, Betty was nominated by the Lost Creek Woman's Club as its representative for the Random Acts of Kindness award. She was very proud to have received the award which is celebrated on November 13th nationwide. She was preceded in death by both parents of Lost Creek: Burke and Mildred White Randolph and by her brother, Jimmy Randoph, of Clarksburg.

Mom, I miss hearing your voice and hearing you whistle. Five years have flown by and yet it seems like yesterday when I last saw you.
