Shirley Maxine Fisher, 83 of Brush, Colorado and a former Potter and Sidney resident went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Tuesday morning, October 12, 2010 at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush
She was born July 5, 1927 near Wayne, Nebraska to Walter and Rena (Roberts) Randol, the second of six children. In March of 1929, the family moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska where she lived and attended school, graduating in May of 1945. That summer she attended Wayne State Teacher's College and began teaching in a country school near Wayne that fall. She continued her education at Wayne State, teaching at Maskell, Randolph and Potter, Nebraska. While teaching at Potter she met James K. Fisher, the son of Charles and Alma (Nielsen) Fisher. They were married at the Boals Methodist Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska on August 10, 1952. They lived and raised their four daughters and one son on the home place northeast of Potter.
Her life was changed forever when she received Jesus Christ as her Savior in November of 1965 at the Methodist Church in Potter.
She is survived by her four daughters and their husbands: Elaine and Fred Baltensperger of Bushnell, NE, Heather and Barry Dee of Sedgwick, CO, Tamara and Ray Woten of Potter, NE and Marena Fisher of New Haven, CT; her son and his wife Noel and Angela Fisher of Charlotte, NC; 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sharon Randol of Kimball, NE and Ilene Berg of Atascadero, CA; two sister-in-laws: Betty Randol of Ricketts, IA and Marjorie Thomas of Lincoln, NE as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.
