Janice Marie Arnold, of Lubbock, went to be with the Lord July 22, 2007, at the age of 65.
Celebration of life services are planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel, with Tracy Buse officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Janice was born Nov. 25, 1941, in Coshocton, Ohio, to Chester and Edna (Thompson) Randles. She grew up and attended school in Ohio. She and Wayne Arnold were married Dec. 14, 1968. in Denver, Colo. He preceded her in death April 29, 2003. She worked as a secretary for Western Way Homes in Lubbock. She then worked for Texas Tech University in the bursar's office until she retired.
Her real joy in life was her grandchildren. She would do anything for them and loved spoiling them.
Janice is survived by son, Tom Arnold and wife Leah of Lubbock; daughter, Michelle Whitehead and husband Chris of Wylie; and grandchildren, Nikolas Arnold, Hannah Whitehead, and Sean Arnold. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Doug Randles.
