Asselstine, Marjorie Ann (Ranck), age 86, born April 24, 1920 in Toronto, Canada. Died December 23, 2006. Passed away into God's hands peacefully and quietly in Edina, Minnesota. Was preceeded in death by husband, William E. Ranck; mother, Ann; father, Earle; brother, Frank; and sister, Audrey. Survived by husband, Herb; sons, William, Bruce, and Robert Ranck; daughters-in-law, Patricia, Tamara, and Mary Kay; grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberley, Jason, Laura, Darren, Brian, John; and great-granddaughter, Abigail; and many friends and relatives from far and wide. Lifelong member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, University of Toronto, member of Chapel Hills United Church of Christ, various clubs, volunteer organizations, and community organizations.
Memorial service will be held at Chapel Hills United Church of Christ 6512 Vernon Ave. Edina, Minnesota 55436 at 11 AM Wednesday, December 27 in the sanctuary, Memorials will be accepted by Chapel Hills and the NC Little Hospices, 7019 Lynnmar Lane, Edina, Minnesota 54435. Her consummate love of life, her family, dedication to others, and unparalleled gifts of grace, compassion, and dignity shall be missed by all she touched in a well lived, wonderful life as a true gift by any standard. Blessed are we for the opportunity for her to be a part of our lives, as she now goes lovingly to God's hands and life everlasting.
