Alice Ranck Dunlap of Wagontown

Alice Ranck Dunlap, 79, of Wagontown, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Paoli Hospital.
She was the wife of John Gordon (Gordy) Dunlap, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Martin's Corner, she was the daughter of the late Parke and Alma (Bernard) Ranck.
Alice was a 1946 graduate of Scott High School.
Through the years she had been employed by Lukens Steel Co., Walnut Grove Candies and Kings Highway Elementary School. She also sold Avon for many years.
She was a long-standing member of Wagontown Union Chapel and also a member of TOPS.
Spending time with her family was her most enjoyable activity.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Becky, wife of Scott Sanner of Wagontown; a daughter, Linda, wife of John Chamberlain of Mapleton Depot; granddaughter, Susan, wife of Jason Vaughan of Coatesville; a grandson, whom she raised, John Michael Schulz, husband of Courtney of Coatesville; a sister, Sara Werntz of Tennessee; and five great-grandchildren, Jake, Joshua and Joseph Vaughan, and Tyler and Faith Schulz, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Ranck, and a granddaughter, Jeanne Sanner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, Oct. 29, at noon at Wagontown Union Chapel, Kings Highway (Route 340), Wagontown.
Interment will follow in Hibernia United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wagontown Union Chapel, P.O. Box 200, Wagontown, PA 19376.
Arrangements are being handled by Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 339 W. Kings Highway (Route 340), Wagontown.
