OBITUARY-
Dale Seymore Ramlo, age 84, of Austin, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Blooming Prairie.

He was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Decorah, Iowa, to Roy and Cora (Kjome) Ramlo.
He attended school in Hesper, Iowa and graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1937.
A Golden Gloves boxer, Dale entered 85 fights.
He married Elizabeth Ryan on Sept. 3, 1940, in Britt, Iowa.
Dale worked for Hutchinson Ice Cream Company in Mason City and Fort Dodge. He was hired at Hormel on Nov. 19, 1941, where he worked for 38 years, with the exception of the time he spent serving his country during World War II. From August 1943 until December 1945, he was in the hospital corps with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. After retiring from Hormel Foods Corp. in April 1980, Dale worked part time for Robbins Furniture.
He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, VFW and American Legion.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing, pool and going to Minnesota Twins Games.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Mark (Gretchen) Ramlo and Scott (Tammy) Ramlo of Austin; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Daniel Ramlo; brother, Donald (Lucille) Ramlo of Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David, in infancy; and twin brothers, Robert and Richard.
The family prefers memorials to St. Olaf Lutheran Church College Scholarship Fund.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Friends may greet the family for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery at a later date. Flag presentation will be by American Legion Post 91 and VFW Post 1216. Worlein Funeral Home in Austin is in charge of arrangements.
