Mrs. Maxine E. Burrous, age 90, passed away Wednesday evening, October 2, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born November 14, 1921 to Arthur and Martha (Obenauf) Rameau in Muskegon, and other than spending a few winters in Florida, she lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Maxine worked as a pharmacist assistant for several different pharmacies in the area, and was an active member of Community United Methodist Church in N. Muskegon. On February 14, 1942 she married Murline R. "Red" Burrous in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1991.

SURVIVORS include one son, Michael A. (Laurie) Burrous of Roswell, GA; one daughter-in-law, Janice (Dave) Burrous-Claflin of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, C. Emma, Amy, Shelley, and Craig; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Marian DeYoung of Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard; one brother, Robert Rameau.

A CELEBRATION of Mrs. Burrous's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 8, at the Community United Methodist Church, 1614 Ruddiman Dr., with Rev. Phillip J. Friedrick officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Burrous may be made to Community United Methodist Church. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel
