Death: Nov. 2, 1930

Ruben R Rambo, resident of Decatur for more than 45 years, died in his home, 906 East Wood street, Monday morning, following a sickness of a complication of diseases. He was, nearly 84 years old. He was born in Circleville, O., Jan. 5. 1847. He came to Illinois when a young man. Shortly after coming to Decatur he entered the employ of the street car company. He was track foreman and later street car barn foreman. He had been with the company for more than 35 years. He married Delila Houseworth of Sangamon station on March 14, 1872. He leaves his widow and three sons: Charles Rambo Chicago; Albert Rambo and Linn Rambo, San Antonio, Tx. He had two brothers, George Rambo of Decatur and Charles Rambo of Springfield. He leaves five grandchildren. He was a member of the Seventh Street Christian church. The body was taken to the Brintlinger & Sons chapel where services will be at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in the North Fork cemetery.
