Mrs. Kenneth Craig (Verla R. Nickle)

Verla R. Nickle Craig, age 72, died Sunday afternoon, June 12, 1983 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah, Wisconsin after a short illness. She was the daughter of Rex and Bertha Rambo.
She was born in Keosauqua on October 1, 1910. She graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1927 and attended Iowa Wesleyan College and later graduated from Pennsylvania State University.
She was married to Kenneth Craig in 1931, later separated and remarried 1982. She had also been married to George Nickle who died in 1975. Mrs. Craig had lived in Sun City, Arizona where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Bells Choir and church circles.
The Craigs spent their summers in Neenah where Mrs. Craig was a member of the Riverview Country Club, Appleton. She was also a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth A. Craig; two sisters; Lucille Beatty, Belleville, Illinois; Jeanne Lawson, Bettendorf, Iowa; a brother; two step-sons; a step-daughter, six step-grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Dr. Vinton and Monte Rambo; a sister, Aileen Wendel. A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 1983 at the Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah with the Rev. John G. Bissett, pastor of the Congregation United Church of Christ, Neenah-Menasha officiating. Burial will be in Yucaipa, California.
The family suggest that memorials be directed to the American Heart Association.
