Rachel E. Autobee Rael Gallegos, 75, passed away March 28, 2011, after a lengthy illness. She worked many years at the Avondale Boone Community Health Center. She was a lifetime Avondale resident. She was born Jan. 11, 1936, to the union of Eulojio and Emelia (Autobee) Rael. They both preceded her in death; along with her son, Isaac; granddaughter, Augustina Hernandez; siblings, Roseanna Maestas, Orlando, Albert and Helen Rael; in-laws, Jack, Joe, Francis, Belamino, Gilbert, Ruby and Nemencio. She was a member of Autobee Club, spending time with her family at the family farm, camping, visiting with friends. Rachel adored and loved her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her — each and every one of them were special. She is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 57 years, Valoy Gallegos; her children, Gina (Lynn) Miller, Gabe (Andrea) Gallegos, Greg (Susy) Gallegos and Andrea (Chris) Hernandez; her siblings, Lucy Doose, Phyllis (Arnold) Gallegos, Abel L. (Virginia) Rael Sr., in-laws, Cora Autobee, Sammy (JoAnn) Gallegos, Jerry Gallegos, Jennie Martinez and Sandy Gallegos; grandchildren, Avelina, Patrick, Danielle, Orlando, Geronimo, Sarah, Justin, Crystal, Adam, Stephanie, Joshua, Jason, Aaron, Christiana, Isaac, Desmond; great-grandchildren, Cedric, Jaedon, Kieran, Derek, Nicholas, Mathew, Damien, Desmond, Colleen, Brielle and Isabella. Rosary vigil, 7 p.m. Friday; Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. Saturday, both services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Avondale, Colo. Interment, St. Vrain Cemetery.
