Born Sept. 21, 1920, in Anderson County, Tenn., Mrs. Hilburn was a daughter of the late Elmer and Dora Wright Raby. She was a Baptist.
In 1987, she retired from Cannon Mills, where she was an inspector in the towel department.
Her husband, Preston E. Hilburn, died in 1996.
Survivors include seven daughters and one son, all in the Kannapolis/Concord area; two brothers of Clinton, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
