Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at 11 a.m. at
the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Jay Smoke will
officiate with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Muriel was born on September 28, 1909 in Antigo, Wisconsin. Her parents
were the late George and Violet Richards Case. She graduated from Antigo
High School in 1928. She continued her education at Antigo Vocation
School where she studied Business Education. For most of her lifetime,
Muriel worked with her husband, George, as the secretary/treasurer of
the George Rutherford Corporation. She married George Rutherford at
Antigo, Wisconsin, November 28, 1942. Mr. Rutherford preceded her in
death September 25, 1997.
Survivors include her daughter, Georgia Bouda of Mequon; a step-son,
Thomas Rutherford of Manitowoc; three grandsons, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, a step-son, four brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Tuesday, 9 a.m.
until the time of services at 11 a.m.
