Mr. Kenneth P. Rutherford, age 86, a resident of 1500 N. 3rd St., Manitowoc, died
Tuesday, May 13, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 1997, at Harrigan
Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Joel Otto will officiate. It was his wish
to be creamated (sic) following his funeral service with burial of his cremains
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Ken was born June 12, 1910, in Manitowoc, son of the late Perry H. and Minne Snyder
Rutherford. On December 15, 1927, he married Bertha Anna Pautz at First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Rutherford preceded him in death July 16,
1982. Ken was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Untied States Navy in the
European Theatre of War. He was a longtime employee of Memorial Hospital where he was
a maintenance supervisor. His memberships include First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Otto Oas VFW Post #659, and Drews Bleser American Legion Post #88.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Helen) Rutherford, Reedsville, Perry (Marge)
Rutherford, Manitowoc, James (Susan) Rutherford, Stafford, Va.; a brother, George
(Muriel) Rutherford, Manitowoc, eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters,
a brother, and a great granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Thursday from 9 a.m. until the
time of service.
