MISS RITCHIE IS BRIDE OF WM. C. (sic) RUTHERFORD TODAY
If an ideal wedding day is an omen of happiness than Miss Jessie Ritchie and
William Rutherford, well known young people who today pledged their troth,
should face a future of brighest promise.
The marriage of Miss Ritchie, daughter of Mrs. R.A. Ritchie and Mr. Rutherford,
son of P.H. Rutherford, was solemnized at the Ritchie home on Park street at
high noon, the Rev. Epley officiating. A small party of relatives and close
friends attended the ceremony in which Miss Elma Rutherford, sister of the groom,
was bridesmaid, and A. Ritchie, brother of the birde, groomsman. A wedding dinner
followed the ceremony and later in the day Mr. and Mrs. Rutherford left by auto
for a trip to Canada and an outing in camp in the northern part of the state.
They will return September 1 to be at home to friends at 407 park (sic) street.
Both principals are well known and popular. The bride has been a teacher in the
local schools the past year and previous to that was engaged in teacing at St.
Paul. Mr. Rutherford is advertising manager of the Herald-News and a capable
business man who has established himself by his own efforts. The Herald-News
joins in extending well wishes.
