ROBERT RUNGE

Robert Runge, 76, a resident of Manitowoc for more than 60 years, died this
morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Erwin Vieweger, 1305 Madison street.
He had not been in good health the past two weeks.
Born in Germany in 1869 he came to this city when a young man. Fifty-five years
ago he married Miss Elizabeth Houghton. She died seven years ago. Mr. Runge was
employed at the Smalley company for years and later at the Pauly and Pauly
company. He retired 15 years ago. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Vieweger and Mrs. Erwin Mlada of this city,
Mrs. William Zimmer and Mrs. Richard Simmer of route 4, Manitowoc; brother,
William, of Milwaukee; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, the Rev. C. H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
The body may be viewed after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
