Harrisburg "Patriot", Saturday 31 Jan 1942: Mrs. Ida Brine, widow of Sergt. Alfred Brine, died Thursday at her home, 1512 Swatara street, after a long illness. She suffered a fractured leg in a fall three years ago and never completely recovered. She was 70 years old and was a member of the Derry Street United Brethren Church.
Surviving are a son, J. Howard Brine, Washington; a daughter, Mrs. Calvin Bixler, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Weaver, Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Minnie Sweger, Camp Hill, R.D.; three brothers, John Quigley, Carlisle R.D.; Charles Quigley, Lemoyne, and Howard Quigley, Wormleysburg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Susan Quigley, members of an old Cumberland County family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Musselman funeral home, 324 Hummel avenue, Lemoyne, with the Rev. Harry Zechman, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery. Friends may call at the huneral home tomorrow evening after 7 o'clock.
